INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE 2020- KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS V/S KINGS XI PUNJAB

The upcoming match between Kolkata Knight riders and Kings XI Punjab is one of the most awaited matches in the edition so far. At this point in the tournament, the points table clearly indicates the three confirmed playoff positions out of the four. Both the teams won their previous matches and are headed in confidence for their face off. KKR will be headed towards playoffs if they manage to win the match but it is surely going to be a thrilling race until the final match if the opposition wins.

The match is going to be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The boundaries at the venue is tempting as usual but the pitch might have slowed down a little. The pitch can be an advantage to hitters from both sides.

KINGS XI PUNJAB –The team has been winning for four times in a row as of now. The team has Chris Gayle playing for them this time. They managed to win their previous game even without Mayank  Aggarwal. However, his comeback will only add strength to the team. The team has major strong batting lineup with Nicholas Pooran, Mayank Aggarwal, Glenn Maxwell, Lokesh Rahul and Chris Gayle. The team might switch Glen Maxwell with Jimmy Neesham due to his poor gameplay in this season. The team has much higher hitting power than KXIP.

The team has a great improvement in their bowling department. Their young player Arshdeep Singh has been really effective in the death in the death overs. Chris Jordan has already find his radar. Having spin options with Glen Maxwell, Ravi Bishnoi and M Ashwin which the team can use throughout the innings. The team  has Mohammad Shami as the upfront.

The team is overall balanced and has been performing consistently with huge advantage to their senior batsmen. Their confidence would do good to the team as well.

KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS –  The team easily got past Delhi Capitals playing their best way they could have dreamt of. But still the team faces problems in balance. In case the team continues with the same playing eleven, they are going on with five bowlers and Sunil Naraine as the only all rounder. Although he scored against Delhi Capitals, but cant rely on him due to his poor performance in this season. Their batting is not much with Morgan, Gill, Rana, Rana
and Tripathi.

Shubman Gill is not doing they good at the top order and his strike rate is under pressure and is asked to be more assertive. Rahul Tripathi is been out of depths and Dinesh Karthik is struggling too. Nitish Rana also has a good inning in his part. The batting part might collapse even under a little pressure. After Lockie Ferguson, the team aids strength to its bowling.  Pat Cummins played very well against DC and took three wickets and Varun Chakravarthy took five wickets in total in that same match. Prasidh Krishna and Kamlesh Nagarkoti are not that great but quite decent with their form.

After their last match, the team proves to be good one to going and its all the faith that

PITCH AND CONDITIONSAs per our predictions, Kolkata might elect to bat first and Punjab might choose to field first in case any of the team wins the toss because that’s the only way to success till the season for both the teams.

The pitch at the venue has became slower after recent matches played on it. The team has small boundaries and less support to bowlers. But a batsmen can cause tremendous havoc once they get set on the pitch.
